Careers for Military Veterans

Working at BMC is more than a job – it’s a chance to make a difference in health outcomes. We’re excited to have you join our dedicated team.

Join BMC’s Healthcare Mission

You’ve dedicated your life to serving our country and as a veteran, your skills and dedication are invaluable to BMC’s mission to provide exceptional care to everyone. When you work for us, we work for you too, with benefits and support uniquely tailored to you and your family, whether you’re an active military member or a veteran.

BMC was very supportive of me when I was an active reservist, and there was never a problem with changing my schedule for training. When I was deployed to Iraq and was pulled out of BMC for 18 months, the hospital was supportive of me throughout and accepted me upon my return.

Honoring the BMC Supervisors Who Support Our Military Employees

We’re proud of Sarah Carignan Arbelaez, MBA, BMC’s senior vice president of hospital integration, for receiving Employer Support of the Guard & Reserve (ESGR)’s Patriot Award. Sarah was nominated by Zania Campos, MPA,ABCP, director of emergency management. In her role leading the hospital’s emergency preparedness program, Zania has received strong support from Sarah while continuing to serve in the military.

The Patriot Award honors supervisors whose efforts go above and beyond legal requirements to support employees serving in the National Guard and Reserve, helping bridge the gap between military service and civilian employment.

My transition from the Army to BMC has been an incredible journey, made possible by the DoD Career Skills Program and the unwavering support and encouragement of the HR team. I am proud to work at an organization that makes such a significant impact on the local community.
