The Crisis Intervention Counselor is responsible for evaluating, assessing, diagnosis and providing psychosocial expertise as a member of the emergency department team. The counselor will participate as part of the emergency department team to provide additional case management services including assistance with identification and utilization of resources, triage cases, provide assistance to BEST team, assisting in the disposition of patients, assist psychiatric residents and attending physicians. This position requires the ability to work independently in an acute care setting.
Masters in Social Work (MSW), LICSW. Masters in Counseling (LMHC), M.Ed, Ed.D or Masters in Psychology. And three years related experience with crisis counseling experience. Bi-lingual preferred
