Provides Boston Medical Center the support to coordinate and issue employee identification badges and managing the access control for high sensitive security areas. Works with the Department of Public Safety for providing access reports, ID photos for ongoing Human Resources and/or criminal investigations. Utilizes the medical centers core values as the basis for decision making and to facilitate the medical centers mission

Provides Boston Medical Center the support to coordinate and issue employee identification badges and managing the access control for high sensitive security areas. Works with the Department of Public Safety for providing access reports, ID photos for ongoing Human Resources and/or criminal investigations. Utilizes the medical centers core values as the basis for decision making and to facilitate the medical centers mission

Daily: Operates BMC Identification Card systems Lenel, Picture Perfect and CCURE systems to insure the delivery of related services. Insures primary location access is added to all badges unless restricted access is needed in which case access will be added to an ID when the ID Office receives written confirmation by the approving department manager or supervisor. Maintain and update master list kept by the ID Office of all designated persons who can approve restricted access.

Daily: Provides identification card services as requested by the BMC Office of Human Resources for all BMC Employees issued. Issue identification badges to Visiting Personnel (e.g., contractors, consultants, construction workers and students that have been “cleared” by Occupational Health using Visiting Personnel Access database, the office of parking services and public safety. Reviews requests for additional clearance locations, restricts access to high risk or sensitive locations, suspends/terminates as deemed necessary and works with the investigators unit to provide information pertinent to their caseload.

Daily: Runs daily deactivations per HR using Workday database. Works with the investigators unit to provide information pertinent to their caseload. Process credit card transactions for lost badges.

Daily: Ensures the Systems coordinator is notified of any liabilities regarding electronic system failures or scheduled activities that cannot be corrected or performed by the available staff, which may include contractors

Weekly: Establish guidelines and frequency of audits and the process for annual renewals of access permissions and individual specific compliance with process for annual renewals of access permissions and individual compliance policies, regulations and laws related to activities at BMC.

Performs IRIS scans when access is needed for highly restricted areas of the after the ID Office receives an e-mail by the approving manager.

EDUCATION:

High School diploma, computer science and/or technical experience with ID databases

EXPERIENCE:

1 - 3 years
