Under the supervision of the Principal Investigator, RA will conduct patient recruitment, administer questionnaires, maintain patient databases, perform administrative tasks, assist in grant preparation, perform literature searches and participate with the research team in preparation of data and other reports.
ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES / DUTIES:
Schedule appointments of study participants;conducts reminder phone calls and/or mailouts.
Administer questionnaires to participants, in-person and over the phone. In-person questionnaires can be completed at the clinic, at home, or at another location convenient for the participant.
Maintains patient information and study data through use of a database like Microsoft Access.
Performs administrative tasks including: managing projects records and handling communication needs of the project (s).
Provides assistance in the development of reports, grants, presentations and data analysis.
Conducts literature searches and synthesizes information in requested formats.
Abstraction of data from medical charts
Maintains patient study files in accordance with legal and institutional guidelines.
Conforms to hospital standards of performance and conduct, including those pertaining to patient rights, so that the best possible customer service and patient care may be provided.
Utilizes Hospital's behavioral standards as the basis for decision-making and to facilitate the Project's and Hospital's mission.
Follows established hospital infection control and safety procedures.
Performs other duties as needed or as assigned.
Individual must have completed a bachelor's degree. Applicants with research experience currently pursuing a bachelor's degree may be considered.
Experience working with multiethnic, multi-linguistic urban communities required
KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS:
Fluency in Spanish is required. Excellent interpersonal skills and prior research experience.Computer literacy with Microsoft programs (Word, Excel, Access etc.).
