Description

Under the direction of the Senior Director of Pharmacy and the SVP of Clinical Operations / CNO, this position is responsible to plan, organize, direct and control all aspects and activities of the Department of Pharmacy.

Specifically the Director is responsible for supporting activities that will promote safe, effective and efficient use of drug therapy that optimizes patient care outcomes both in the inpatient and outpatient services.

The Director assures all legal and regulatory requirements are satisfied for Boston Medical Center, its affiliates and satellites. Ensures that pharmacy services and activities are carried out to meet the mission, goals and standards of BMC.

Qualifications

B.S. degree in Pharmacy from an accredited CollegeofPharmacy , PharmD or other advanced degree required
Valid license as a pharmacist in the State ofMassachusetts is required
At least five years of experience in hospital pharmacy management required. Academic medical center experience preferred
Excellent leadership for change skills, ability to promote collaboration across multidisciplinary services, excellent interpersonal skills, strategic planning and ability to negotiate contracts, excellent organizational and communicative skills, emphasis on specific interest in human resource management and development.
Candidates with 340B Compliance experience are highly preferred.
